friday's presentation

After the mornings lecture, the dairylea lunchables met to present ideas to one another. Everyone presented sketches or images they had found from films or the internet to help convey their vision. I feel as a group we listened well to each other and everyone had equal opportunity to speak and say their thoughts. 

After all the ideas were presented, our group went through and made a short list of ideas we were most interested in producing which included:

• Ghost town - an isolated town
• American dream - a colourful housing estate which is a little too nice! too perfect
• Post Apocalyptic - an area in destruction
• Theatre Star's Dressing room 
• Victorian Circus
• Crazy Ladies BnB
• Haunted Castle
• Graveyard
• Hitchcock Inspired House
• Lighthouse
• Landscape - cliffs, mountains etc

From this list our group then shortlisted it to two possibilities which were:

• Ghost town
• Theatre Star's Dressing Room

Further discussion continued on the ideas which lead to a vote which split the group equally in half. Agreeing that nothing would be confirmed at this stage, the group decided to utilize the weekend to sketch, look into both ideas further and make a final pitch for each at the start of week 2. Everyone agreed that they would be open to both ideas and look into both not just the one they had voted for. 

I feel today we had made definite progress and it was interesting to see the different as well as similar ideas the group members had come up with. Is it strange that our ideas were mostly morbid? I personally was split between the two final ideas as i think either could provide an effective final outcome. I intend to use my weekend to think through and sketch these ideas further and see what the group thinks come monday week 2...
